People at home you’ll be missing: Oldest child who is finishing her last semester of college. Son who is a senior in high school. Cat who rules the roost. (My husband is coming along with me this year. Our first vacay sans kids in 20+ years!)
Conference goals we can pray for? For a good meeting with the editor at my publishing house.

Any disclosures, disclaimers, or crucial information we must know? I totally have ADD and this pregnancy is making it worse! Usually I function rather well as a writer without taking any meds for it, but this first-trimester is killing any true ADD-functionality I’ve ever been able to achieve!

Hi Carol! I’m afraid I’m little too far away from the Springfield group. I live in a small rural area about 50 miles northwest of St. Louis, closer to Hannibal. But if you ladies are ever up this way, please let me know. I’m so hoping I’ll get to meet you in person in a few weeks! 🙂
I will be driving in early in the a.m. for Sunday only, since the conference will be here in St. Louis next year. (Can’t wait for that one, since members of my ACFW crit group are planning to stay with me for next years conference :-). But if you’re free anytime that Sunday for breakfast, lunch, coffee, etc, let me know. We have reservations at the conference hotel. Will you be staying there as well?

What you write/tagline: Contemporary Women’s Fiction. I’m still searching for the right tagline but my current work focuses on bringing hope to single women over 40. So, something along those lines.
Place in the book world: Under contract for first novel and a corresponding nonfiction book. Working on a short story for an anthology and the sequel to the novel. Also, a nonfiction book I co-authored/edited was published last November.
On a scale of hugger to 10-foot-pole, please rate your personal space: I’m an extrovert so hug away!
The unique talking point that will get you going for hours: Surviving singleness after 40. And my nieces & nephew.
People at home you’ll miss: The previously mentioned nieces & nephew plus my sister & dad, who all live near me.
Conference goals we can pray for? Since I have a contract, my main goal is to learn & encourage others. A secondary goal is to promote the manuscript editing & design business my sister & I are starting. Would love prayer that I could have clarity & wisdom in all these things.
Up for any contests/awards? I have been twice thwarted in entering the Genesis contest since joining ACFW two years ago. But, if it works out, I hope to enter my novel in the Carol Awards contest next year.
